How long am I going to have to wait to get a refund?

I've opened a case for non delivery.

Seller first of all claims that he sent it to someone else and then he says he got it back and then sent it without tracking

He's going on about police, 'mail fraud' and that he will refund me once he's 'investigated it'

Seriously, how long do I have to wait to get my hundred quid back so I can buy the same item again?

you can escalate 8 days after opening the case and then eBay should refund immediately if there is no tracking. And him going to the police etc, what a bully. Do not close the case btw - no matter what he threatens.

Open case on eBay. They give him 7/8 days to provide tracking and even then if your not happy you can choose to escalate and Ebay/PayPal can force the refund.

Do not give in. Do not close case no matter what he says. You get your refund and he can get his from who ever he 'posted' it with.

So in short, you have to wait 8 days for eBay to refund on behalf of him

I opened a case, just miffed I have to wait. He's emailed again saying he won't refund until he's finished investigating. He's also going on about me not leaving negative feedback as 'it's not his fault'.

I've already said I would be leaving factual negative feedback saying he sent it to someone else, charged £10 postage and then sent it untracked.

I just don't believe he sent it.

I would neg him now - and low stars too.

Personally I don't leave feedback until it is resolved. Don't know why as it makes no difference.

You have to wait as eBay have to be seen to be giving him reasonable time to respond to the case.
You will get all your money back and then you can Leave him negative feedback.
He will probably leave you a negative comment on your feedback but you can have eBay remove that.

Ebay is full of knobheads these days. The last few sellers I've used have been problematic and then very aggressive and rude when I've complained!!!
