bid higher price but didn't get item!

I waited til the last couple of mins to bid on an item which stood at £1.80. I placed a highest bid of £ 5.50. The screen said 'reserve not met' and so I bid a final £6. Again, the same message was displayed and then it said that the item had ended and it sold for a final price of £3.75. I can't see if my bid was actually made but I didn't get an email notification saying I had bid/ lost out. Can anyone advise as to what went wrong here please?

you didn't meet the reserve so no, you didn't win it.

Reserve on Ebay can only be £50 or over so you we're nowhere near it

I don't know why it would have said it sold at £3.75 though

I don't know why but that can't be it Cherryapple as the wining bid was less than Willow bid.

The minimum reserve you can set is £50 I think so it doesn't make sense that someone could win with such a low bid.

Could you link the item?

so yours wasn't the highest bid of £3.75?
