I've bought two tops/dresses recently bnwt, when they came they stank of perfumeHmm am I just unlucky or does this happen often?

It's not worth the hassle of a return, just a bit miffed

It will need to be tracked so you can prove she has received it - otherwise she could claim not received and then no refund.

lighteningmcmama · 01/05/2015 21:58

So do I need to pay that? It was sent originally royal mail second class untracked.

you may have to pay extra to track it yes.

Ok. That's annoying. It's not worth much...

Thanks for your help

I bought a dress from Boden once and it stank of perfume! I didn't like it so wanted to send it back, but was paranoid they would think the perfume smell was from me! I just put in the comments that it was faulty as it smelt strongly of perfume as soon as I took it out of the packaging ! IMO as long as the item is in good condition and you can wash it and remove the smell then what is the issue? I presume you got the item cheaper than you would brand new in a shop anyway?

sanfairyanne · 04/05/2015 03:39

i always think it means 'shoplifted' Blush
wouldn't they just return it to the shop if it was 'worn once with tags in'?

hope all goes smoothly with return

Well the return is more of a hassle than I thought it would be. I only started the process more out of annoyance at her unwillingness to acknowledge anything or to offer a solution. The other seller straight away offered a partial refund. But this one went silent on me.

She's gone silent on me again now, she asked where to send a returns envelope and I said why not just email me the label I'll print it off, easier all round, now I've heard nothing since Thursday...

My niece saw the dress as I was getting it ready to pack to send back , she liked it so I've decided it's less hassle to just give it to her!

What sorry of feedback should I leave?
