Since when can you not sold used make up

I have a barely used eye shadow. Try to list it and couldn't work out why I couldn't put used On. Then right at the very end of taking all the photos I got a little warning. I'm sure used to be able to ?

You can't sell used makeup, nappies or perfume. If you sell used clothing it needs to be washed first. And if you report any listings for being against any of the rules they will be removed. Just because some sellers get away with breaking the rules doesn't mean it is permitted. With the many hundreds of thousands of items being listed daily eBay cannot police every auction - they do act though if you report them.

Used eye makeup though - such a huge risk for infection. Can't see why anyone would risk it tbh.

Yes. Think dodgy nail polish is rife. My eye make up was fine. Sorry to disappoint

According to new regs any liquid type product that has been opened cannot go through postal system anymore ( it is common sense to understand why ) .
I wouldn't like to use make-up someone else has used how do I know where it has come from it could be a copy and the contents contain stuff that would damage my skin or eyes so would never take the chance on any make-up even if it is sealed and claiming to be original.

Data a risk is exactly that, a risk. No one is saying that used eye make up will definitely cause infections. Whether you choose to take that risk is of course up to you.

was just reading this thread as I too was going to sell some barely used bits of makeup on ebay, obviously wont be doing so now lol!! I am interested in your bobbi brown bone eyeshadow if you still have it, let me know and if so how much you would want for it. Thanks!

Rach there's an app called depop that you can use to buy and sell used makeup

There are plenty of listings for used perfume on ebay at the moment - I just looked for Tom Ford to check.

That said maybe you can't use Royal Mail to send the perfume
if the rules won't allow - probably fine with a courier service though.

Depop is also for clothes if anyone fancies a change from ebay. I haven't tried it but DD has.
