I bought a pair of shoes today; buyer would post either standard or next day.
For some reason I couldn't change the order so it said I wanted next day delivery.
I emailed the buyer, explained this and asked if they could just send me a revised invoice so I could have next day delivery as I needed the item tomorrow.
They replied saying yes. I ordered the item with a note to seller saying 'please send me an invoice for the increased postage so I can have next day delivery'.
Contacted seller this afternoon as no item dispatched email or invoice asking for the invoice. I was told the post had gone and my item had been sent standard.
Would I be out of order when I return the item for a refund (unless by some miracle it gets here tomorrow) to ask for the original postage cost back? I'll pay the return cost (though that irritates me) but really feel that given I'd asked twice for the increased postage invoice and explained why that it is a bit rubbish that they sent it standard, or am I being tight? (Oh postage is £3.50 but will be more for me as I'll need to send tracked).
