Brand new without tags - would you dry clean?

I've just bought a dress which was advertised as brand new without tags. It's arrived and does indeed look brand new - it's largely cream so I think would show any wear - plus has a 'new' look about the fabric.

....and yet... I'm a bit funny about second hand things and am tempted to get it dry cleaned anyway. I don't think I need to, but I suspect I will.

Just wondered if this was OTT or normal?

To answer your question, I'm not sure ......... You can buy something in a shop that has been tried on by who knows how many people. Would you dry clean/wash that? Perhaps I'm just a sloven, but I wouldn't

I thought exactly that, MillyMae about the trying on.

I am torn but think I might trust that it's new and leave it - it's 50% silk and has a lovely sheen that I think might be lost once it's dry cleaned (this is one reason I'm sure it hasn't been worn and cleaned).

I'm just not very good with second-hand stuff (even if I don't think it actually is! Grin)
