Bid on item in US. Seller requested cancellation as "couldn't afford postage". However, postage extra so refused and ebay closed dispute in my favour. Paid item then got several abusive messages about not cancelling, needing the money, laid off etc...
Pointed out it was their listing, had international shipping (paid) so please send my item..
Tracking details posted so think great!
Then gets a message saying they'd put the wrong postage details (possibly), was suicidal about whole thing. Had issued refund. Never to contact again...
Checks Paypal....nothing
Contacts ebay and said refund for postage had just been sent but not full amount of item (online session then terminated!)
Phones ebay so told the rest was "pending"
Given seller already said they have no funds...what happens if the pending is declined e.g. The seller has NO funds in their bank account?
No idea if item been sent to correct address and seller made it very clear they will kill themselves if I respond!? And that they "might not be alive if item IS returned!"
WTF!??! Any ideas - should I wait a few days to see if payment clears? If yes, then fine. If not contact ebay again? It's 450 dollars so not a small amount.
Paid by credit card so should I contact them at this stage?
Never been in this situation where seller being abusive, suicidal etc...
