Oh FFS! I received a fairly costly dinner set and two tea sets earlier this month. The three sets came packed in one huge box and I only started unpacking them today due to lack of storage and being horribly busy beforehand.
I've just discovered that there are 4 of the 6 dinner plates missing so I've had to open up a 'not as described' case.
I haven't finished unpacking the other items yet (although it's clear that the plates aren't in the box) so to cover my ass I've stated on the case notes that Ive yet to do that and will report back if there are any other items missing or there's any damage.
I paid with Paypal but collection was by courier arranged by me so God only knows where I stand. I feel a real fraud for claiming that there are missing items a couple of weeks down the line but my situation is genuine. I have only just opened the parcel and the plates really are missing!
What happens now? I'm assuming that the seller still has the plates (all 6 are in the listing photo) and have asked to receive them but what if he hasn't? If I have to buy four plates it will cost between about £40 and £60. That's not funny!
All advice, brow soothing and large brandies gratefully received. :)
