why can't I see my item when I search?

Listed a dress a couple of hours ago and when I do a search with make of dress, mine is not there (even when trying newly listed search too). It is in my active list and listing has been confirmed but it is not there. I have tried the make in lower case and caps just in case but doesn't work either way? Any ideas please? I have paid 40p BIN so I would have thought it should be there immediately? A bit annoyed tbh

ok It has just appeared but took a couple of hours! Had a look on customer service and it said it can take up to 24 hours! I thought it was instant. Been getting a few hiccups lately with ebay.

Ebay have a new search engine which supposedly prioritises what buyers see. Cassini supposedly chooses some listings to completely ignore, or to put down at the bottom of the best match list. Very controversial...

Yes, first I have heard of that. Sounds a bit off. I don't really like that Best Match thing, it does seem a bit unfair if say only certain companies get on the first page of Best Match and others don't. I usually change it to newly listed or ending first for my searches.

items don't always go live immediately - they go into a queue so won't always be visible straight away.
