Buy it now not paid yet?

Hi there, I'm new to selling on eBay (been buying for years) but started last weekend when it was zero fees.

I had a buy it now item which sold Friday lunchtime but the seller still hasn't paid. Everyone else has paid instantly. How long should I give them, and what steps do I take that won't give me negative feedback?

Hi i have sold things on a buy now basis, and most people do pay within say 24 hours. Very occasionaly they have taken quite a few days. I would give them a bit longer and then send a polite message asking if any probs. If still no joy after that, just go through proper channels with ebay and let them sort it out for you.

Is there an option to remind them? I always pay instantly but once my payment hadn't completed and I hadn't realised until I got an email about it.

Wow thank you for quick replies. I was thinking of contacting the buyer this afternoon maybe and just politely asking if she still wanted it as I hadn't had payment? I don't mind if she's changed her mind, but could relist this weekend while its no fees again if she has.

I think I thought that you paid instantly with BIN as everyone else always has, and I always have!

just open the unpaid item case today, 48 hours after item ended, that sends a reminder - and if they don't pay you close in 4 days, block and relist.

Ah ok thanks Fergoose... I just didn't want to look too pushy! Wasn't sure what is "normal" for paying, as I'm always Miss Goody two shoes who pays instantly

If I wait till 4 days have passed since they won it, can I just close the listing? Or do I have to give them a chance to pay?

I've just read her feedback and although she is 100% positive, there are 2 items in the last 6 months where she changed her mind and didn't pay :(

have you sent an invoice? Some people will not pay until you invoice.

no - you have to file the non paying case first, then wait four days, then close it and that means you can then relist and block them. But you have to do that first. It issues the buyer with a non payer strike plus you get your final fees refunded.
