Does anyone know if this would work - scheduled listings...?

Hi

I have a lot of my daughters clothes to list on eBay and want to list them together in a group to maximise the potential for buyers to be able to bid for multiple items and save on postage (and pay a higher item price!). I want them to finish between 8 and 10pm but I won't get them all listed in a 2 hour window. So I need some way of preparing them as drafts.

So I was thinking...if I were to prepare the listings at my leisure over a couple of days and do them all as scheduled listings for say 11pm one night, if I then edited the individual items at say 8pm the night they were scheduled for, deselected the scheduled listing option and did 'list now' would I still pay the scheduled listing fee?

Basically I am asking if the scheduled listing fee is applied to my ebay account when I select the scheduled listing option or when the item is actually listed.

Does anyone know?

yes - that does work. Schedule them for as far in advance as poss, and hopefully a free listing weekend will come up so you can list them for free.

i would schedule for say 9.30pm so not too late if the worst happened and you could not get to reschedule or your PC was on blink,

initially list them then reschedule the whole lot to start at 9.30pm at 1 minute intervals then on the day in question you can start at 8pm and untick the boxes it takes less than 1 minute per item so you could easily relist without scheduling fees 30 items in 215-20 minutes depending on speed of connection

Do you have access to a smartphone? The app allows you to save the listings as drafts, then just press list when convenient.

And the app's better for instantly cropping photos to hide all the crap in the background.

I seem to think you would still have to pay 6p advance listing fee per item.

no you don't - as long as you send the auction to live before the scheduled time you will not have to pay the 6p.

Do you know if you can use turbo lister to list them all for future listings and then edit the listing to live on eBay? Or would you have to do each listing separate?

no you can't - turbo lister doesn't work on free listing weekends, well it does but you will still be charged a listing fee, hence the need for the scheduling trick.

Ah bugger. I knew you couldn't use it for free listing but I wondered whether I'd be able to upload them to start next weekend but then change it on eBay to this weekend but wasn't sure how turbo lister works.
