I have never ever used it. DH has and many of my friends have so I thought I would have a look and I would like to get into it. But I feel a little stupid in that I can't think of a decent username. How does one decide? Any advice for a beginner most appreciated.

just use something you are comfy with a name and then add a few letters to make it unique Terrar123 :)

If all you do is buy stuff and occasionally sell things your username is not really important.

If you are planning on doing a lot of selling and want people to remember that they have bought from you before then it is more useful to have a memorable name or one that relates to the sort of thing that you sell.

you can easily change your username if you want to anytime in the future.

If you want to look into a name more deeply (like I do Blush I think along the lines of - I probably would be reluctant to spend much money with a member called tatforsale or felloffbackoflorry62, I probably wouldn't buy used clothing from serialkiller47 or foolingtheforensics123. Grin

if you are selling your clothes, toys kids clothes etc then just a nice name really - I've seen lots that use names like kateandemmamum, even fluffyjen or sparklekitty make you feel safe to part with money Hmm Grin

apologies to anyone called serialkiller or sparklekitty Grin

That's all really helpful and makes me feel a bit more confident.
