Have sold a dress with security tag attached WWYD?

I have tried selling on ebay for the first time and have made a blunder. Just as I was packing a dress for postage I realised it still had the security tag attached. The dress was a gift for my daughter that I didn't like so had just been hung up on the hanger in a wardrobe. I don't have the receipt or anything so can't take it back to a shop.

Any advice as to the best way to sort it out? I don't want negative feedback before I have even started and am obviously willing to refund paypal etc but not sure how to go about it.

Will obviously check things more closely in the future before listing them!

Did the alarm not sound as you left the shop?

I didn't buy it. It was a gift.

just refund in full, email buyer and explain then send them a cancellation request to get your fees back. Nothing else you can do really.

Contact the seller and explain the situation, be very apologetic and ask them what they want to do. These things happen and you shouldn't get neg feedback.

So the person who gifted this to your daughter nicked it then?

I thought there is videos on Utube on how to remove them with pliers/magnets? Certainly been threads on it before.

I don't think my husband's aunt nicked it! It is a dress and cardigan and the tag is hidden behind the cardigan. Thanks for advice. Will contact buyer.

New Look left a tag on a top I bought, once. No, the alarm didn't go off; and yes, they did present the cat's bum mouths when I took it back to get the tag taken off.

Not as good as my cat's bum mouth, though.
