Someone contacted after auction ended making an offer

The item (a bundle of clothes) I was selling didn't get any bids however seconds after it finished someone sent me a message asking how much I'd take for the bundle with postage. Postage was offered on the auction and the start price was quite reasonable.
I'm a bit confused as to why they didn't bid if they wanted it! Is this just someone being cheeky trying to get a bargain, should I ignore them?

Maybe they discovered your auction in the final seconds and missed chance to bid?

If you want to sell to them tell them you will relist and they can bid - or if you want you can relist and add a buy it now price.

Thanks, hadn't really thought of those things, I think I'm getting a bit sceptical of ebay and assuming the worst when I shouldn't! :-)
