Item for sale, ends tonight.

One bid all week.
Overnight, bidder has increased their bid 15 times, almost every ten seconds.
One other bidder in the middle of it all, now the other bidder has increased their bid.

What does it all mean?

Confused

Automatic bidding, they set highest bid and it automatically goes up in increments if someone else bids.

Does it look like that?

The other bidder had a high bid on it. The second bidder kept increasing their bid to see what the other bidder's max bid was and managed to outbid them.

First bidder got their email in the morning, notifying them of being outbid so increased their own bid.

Could be, it's just a bit odd (or is it?) that the original bidder was merrily bidding against herself increasing her bid every few seconds before another bidder waded in.

Ebay eh?

The original bidder wasn't bidding, it just looks that way, the new bidder was pushing the original bidder's price up to whatever their max was.

Aha, of course, it all makes sense now!
