can you add a reply?
if so i would just add one saying "addressed correctly, held up by royal mail. would have offered refund if buyer had contacted me"
or something similar?

either way I would not be overly worried about it.
i do check for negative feedback when buying, but something like that wouldn't put me off at all, especially as you still have tons of positive in comparison

SNOWBall4girlz · 25/05/2012 11:52

Its just she sent me such a nice e- mail when i said i checked the royal mail web site. Did not expect a neg lol and i know but its annoying.

Maybe try contacting her by email first, i might be tempted just to give her a refund and then request feedback revision?

you can put a reply on but try contacting your buyer.

I recently had a email from a buyer complaining but no chance to reply as they put the neg on at the same time - really frustratingHmm

I gave him his money back and blocked from ever bidding again.

SNOWBall4girlz · 25/05/2012 21:52

Hi IzzyThink we have managed to locate it and it is supposed to get delivered tomorrow, fingers crossed. According to the post office it has been addressed to number 9 instead of 6! This explains why we knew nothing about it and didn't get the card!ThanksH

That was the nice message I got after the mix up :)

izzybelle159 sent a message about Motivational Stars Magnets for the Fridge 2 Packs of 12 For Reward Charts #140744813502

^Hi there.
Sorry I miscounted the magnets it is correct in the description just an error in the title.
After such a nice email I certainly never expected a neg. The item was addressed as per the paypal. \ebay postcode.
The non delivery was on the 11th on the post office web site ??? So why neg it effects more than my feedback score am a little upset that you would neg without contacting me. I am contacting ebay to politely ask for it to be removed before I reply to it or leave you feedback as they view negs like that unfair. Happy ebaying. Cheers Izzy^

Below is the message I got after asking her politely why she did not contact me first if she was so unhappy and explained that the title was wrong but the detailed description was correct

Hi Izzy

I take on board your comment regarding the magnets description, however, it is wrong in the title which is the main place to look. Apology accepted.

I certainly do feel the negative feedback was not unfair. The item was addressed incorrectly by you, the address is correct on both ebay and paypal. There were two errors, the postcode was indeed wrong,
however, it would have got here anyway if you had put the correct house number on it. Had someone been in at number 9 they would have had the item, and if it hadn't been sent recorded we would never have got it. This is why there was no card, as you sent it to the wrong house.

I visited the post office and they couldn't find it while I was there because of this. They did eventually locate it and changed the address and delivered it. However, this is a fundamental error to copy the address wrong really,

I would not be happy with this service in a shop and so hence the feedback. I notice you have had similar feedback in the last month and wonder if the same thing happened! Up to you regarding contact ebay, I don't use it enough to care that much, but it makes a mockery of the system if you can't give negative feedback when something negative has happened.I can't see what else negative feedback would affect, perhaps you can explain that comment. I say again though, how else do you tell people you are not happy and impressed with the transaction?Huw

Oh well maybe I was in the wrong Hmm

You cannot please some people - there are some very, very pedantic buyers out there who like to neg at the drop of a hat. I dunno, maybe it makes them feel powerful.

I wouldn't bother contacting eBay or the buyer again, eBay won't do anything anyway. Just respond politely to the feedback: "sorry you were upset by the delay in postage" and leave it at that.

tootiredtothink · 25/05/2012 22:14

So had you addressed it incorrectly?

SNOWBall4girlz · 25/05/2012 22:15

I honestly dont think so post code matches the post office receipt.

OP posts:
SNOWBall4girlz · 25/05/2012 22:18

and the number its says 6 then the postcode so I addressed it right :(

In fairness if I bought something from Debenhams and they posted it to the wrong house and then it sat at the sorting office for weeks and was a pain to track down I'd be annoyed. If you did post it to the wrong address it kind of is your fault, sorry. Though most people, inc myself, prob wouldn't have left neg feedback. I'd have put it down to a genuine mistake and forgot it.

tootiredtothink · 25/05/2012 22:19

That is annoying then...and strange I guess that the post office had allowed her to change the address on parcel!

VivaLeBeaver · 25/05/2012 22:19

OK, well then I'd email her back and say that the recipt you have says No 6 and then whatever postcode. And that that info matches what is on ebay so you are sure that when you posted it the correct address was on the parcel. See what she says.

SNOWBall4girlz · 26/05/2012 22:40

Have not had a reply from them and my proof of posting recorded has the correct number on and the correct postcode.

Oh well my feedback has gone back to 99% got a lovely comment of a lady who did not want all the items in an auction so reduced the postage and sent them out and she was happy.
