Buyer says he hasn't received a DVD boxset, I have proof of posting, he wants a refund. What do I do on the eBay side? Do I give him a refund via PayPal? do I have to tell eBay in some way? Will obviously put in a claim to the post office too. Only on phone at the moment so can't check out eBay site properly. Thanks

Yep, refund him through paypal/ebay (make sure you get your selling fee refunded by ebay too). Then download a Post Office claim form and send it off along with proof of posting and ebay sale details and they will refund you.

how long has it been since you sent? RM only class mail missing if it hasn't been delivered within 15 working days

Thanks for replies. Was posted the Friday before the last bank holiday? So I need to wait another week or so before claiming I guess. Might be unfair to say but have a dodgy feeling about the buyer, he has 100% feedback but I think it's a bit suds, gut feeling etc.... Oh well, will sort out refund in the morning.

Here you go cheese - pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/credits.html

You don't get your selling fee back - if Royal Mail refunds you'll still have the money for the sale, only buyer won't have their item. You get your paypal fee back however by issuing refund - make sure you issue refund through original transaction not as separate payment.

If you can get the buyer to cancel the transaction you will get your FVF fees back

PiedWagtail · 18/05/2012 23:23

Mspontipine - that's what I meant- final value fee- get buyer to cancel transaction then you get those back too.
