Help - what has happened to my account?

Just used it this afternoon and have been selling and buying as usual. I have 100 per cent feedback so can't think why they would suspend it and everything has been fine.
Tried to sign in tonight as usual. Says my username is invalid. Have tried to have it sent to my email twice to confirm it but havent had any confrimation email.
Can anyone help please?

Just come on here for advice!

Had loads of stuff listed, all ended tonight around 8pm and i can't get into my flaming account? Tried signing in, saying not valid???? so go through the checks to get a new password, all done, again saying invalid? So now the account is saying my user name is invalid, entered my e-mail, so they can forward my username, but they have not sent me anything, tried ring the customer support but no one is answering, open 24hrs a day 7 days a week!?!?!?!?
At the end of my tether, as reading my ebay messages from potential buyers saying why are my items not longer listed? as they wanted to bid, so i am worried now.
I to have 100%, in fact i take pride of my ebay, so i am oblivious to what is going on?

I had the same problem with my account but DH had no problems with HIS account.

Clearing cookies worked (thanks fergoose!) and I'm back in.

Fedup10, you need to go into the security or safety settings on your internet browser and delete the browsing history. Cookies should be included in this.

Ebay contact number was worse than useless (surprise, surprise!). Couldn't get through at all, so I'm guessing this is a problem for a lot of people at the moment.

There seems no way to contact them if you can't sign in. And I tried to be sent my username but no email comes.

Think I might leave it for tonight and see what happens tomorrow.

My computer has just died on me!!!! So writing this on my phone, will try again in the morning I think:(

HAve realised you can try to do online chat by signing in as a guest. Wait time was 30 minutes at 10:40. Is now 33 min Grin

I've had terrible problems trying to list new items for sale tonight. I had all the pics lined up, all the blurb... and I went through the same listing process FOUR times- and just as I said "Post this listing", it sent me back to sign in again.

I've given up.

But glad to hear its not just me!

Have got through to an online chat person. She says "I understand you're concerned regarding on why you are unable to sign in to your account. We are having some technical issue on our end that's why you are unable to sign in to your account. I'm sorry for any inconvenience" and also

"Yes. I can confirm that our technical team is investigating the error. Currently there are a number of eBay members affected by this and we're attempting to isolate the problem based on reports, like the one you sent.

We try hard to minimise the disruption to our services and provide reliable selling tools to our members. However, unfortunately, we can't guarantee the uninterrupted performance of all our tools, mainly due to the wide variety of different computer and internet setups in use by our members and the problems that conflicting software can generate"

So yes there is a problem and they are investigating it.

Just had an email confirming my username and tried to log in again and it worked :)

All back to normal this morning?!
Lots of messages from disgruntled buyers though that they could not bid, which in turn meant less profit for me!
At least it is working now.
