Just wondering if any of you accept returns and if you thinkbit actually makes a difference to your sales?

It probably does make a difference, but I don't accept returns.
I am not a business, I just sell my own stuff occasionally when I have a clear out e.g. last month a sold 3 jumpers, a scarf and a handbag. They didn't go for a lot and I'm certainly not having people try them on and decide they didn't like them.
(I would accept them back if there was a genuine reason but I don't say that.)

The only time it makes a difference is if you say you 'don't' accept returns.
In reality, when there is a problem every seller has to accept returns and so by stating on the listing that you don't just gives the impression that should there be a problem you are not going to cooperate. Some buyers will hit the back button when they see this.

It depends on how desperate you are to sell. I accept that it will put people off, but I am not a shop and I don't want them back and so I make it plain. (I would -but I am certainly not making it easy for them!) However I am only having a clear out every so often and if it doesn't sell I take it to the charity shop. If they really want your item they will buy it regardless.

I say I accept returns if I have made an error in the listing. I say I don't accept returns if just because of a change of mind.

It makes a difference to feedback. Ive only once had an item returned because the lady did not like it, I only refunded initial cost of item. I got positive feedback.

It doesn't make any difference to feedback. I am quite plain, I don't accept returns. I do deal with problems and have 100% feedback and nice comments. I am reasonable but I am not a shop, they can't simply waste my time by changing their mind.
