i used the free listings to list a couple of things last sunday - and it looks as tho they have reached their 99p bid - not sure if i should be happy or sad at things going for 99p but hey ho.

so once the auction has ended, what happens next? do i post it straight out on monday, or do i wait for the buyer to pay first? and how can i tell that they have paid? have put econmy postage down for the items, so was planning on sending it 2nd class with proof of postage - will this be adequate or do i need to get a 'signed for' service as i hadnt factored that in to postage? it was my first attempt at selling anything and im finding it all a bit complicated but strangely addictive Smile

thank you!

never send until buyer has paid

you will get an email saying funds received and in myeBay the items will show as paid as the pound sign changes colour

is your paypal set up to receive payments - have you sent an invoice yet

is not worth sending 99p items signed for but always keep proof of postage of items

ok thank you - i gather you are an ebay guru! someone from holland has asked if i will post there - am sure i clicked GB only so not sure what to do now, as not sure how much it would cost to post, and if it would be safe to do so? why do i feel a bit uneasy about this?

nope not really a guru, but thanks anyway! :)

just say no if you don't want to send abroad, is your auction so entirely up to you

and make sure you have your settings for uk only buyers

yes it will - sorry I didn't read your post properly

once the auction ends you will get an email saying sold/unsold and then you have the option to send the buyer an invoice

the buyer will be told anyway and most pay without the need for you to send an invoice anyway

don't worry - it looks a lot more complicated than it all is - is very easy once you get into the swing of it.
