ebay searches -can not search by size?

Can anyone help please. I have been looking for shoes for DS, not sure of what I want until I see it , all I know is that they need to be size 12, maybe trainers maybe canvas shoes. I am doing a general search but it is only coming up with options of brand, condition, seller, price & selling format.

How do I get it to show options for size, colour, type & material which is I need to search for, the other options are secondary. I am getting really frustated as there are 1000's of items and I can not go through all of them!
Any ideas please, am I doing something wrong?

Put your exact requirements into the search box!, so for example 'Boys shoes canvas blue 12'

Thank you for your reply Tyzer but the problem is I am not sure what I am looking for until I see it, and a lot of people do not put so much detail on their search titles. l like to start my searches big and than look through it by elimination of different criteria, but it seems I can not do that anymore, not sure if there are any settings I can change.

I see what you mean now. I went to have a go and couldn't do any better either. All I can suggest is that you put the very basics of your search in as I said above, and force yourself to ignore the possibilities of the ones you're missing IYSWIM.

searches have not worked properly for days - I searched for size 10 dresses and got maternity swimwear

Apparently tech people have fixed it this afternoon, and it should be working normally now.
