have just seen an ad for Music Magpie so googled for some other companies as i have a load of CDs and DVDs to sell.

Is there any one company you've used that you think is better than the rest?

I know that in some cases Ebay would get me more a bit more but i prefer the convenience of selling in bulk one time.

TIA

We sold ours to Music Magpie, like you said we probably could have got more for them if we sold them singly but then we would have had the bother of sorting out packaging and costing P&P. This way we just put them in one big box and got rid of the lot and knew exactly how much we were getting for them.

Took a few weeks to get the money as they have to check all the discs and this was just before Christmas so they may have been busy but no complaints about them.

what about amazon? Listing is miles quicker, no fees to list, they take the fees once you have sold - so the money you get transferred to your account is what you are left with. You can go on hliday at any time if you get fed up with packaging but don't have to relist everything again just take yourself off holiday. I understand about not packaging everything up and easier to do in one go but I know Music Magpies prices for some of our things were abysmal. We always sell these things on amazon, don't even bother with ebay for cds dvds.

thanks for your replies.

Maxy as soon as i saw the Music Magpie ad i googled "selling dvds and cds online" and found another commpany called We Buy DVDs. i'd get a bit more from them then Music Magpie. Also found another site CeXUK but you'd need to pay the postage to send them your CDs/DVDs so the extra you receive from would be spent on P&P anyway (having said that boxsets were definitely better to sell to them).

will certainly take a look at Amazon. i also need to sell some books that i'm having no luck with on Ebay - will see if i can find a "we buy books" site too!!

Hi Cobblers, hopefully you might still spot this... I am looking for a similar site (decluttering loads of CDs, DVDs and books).

Which did you go ahead with? And were they any good?

Yeah, I recommend Amazon too. So easy to list them and you pay a fee until they sell. Got rid of loads of DVD's and CD's on amazon last year. You'll definitely get more this way than through Music Magpie although it may take a little longer. Good luck.
