Can a buyer see my address when I issue a refund

I want to make a full refund to a buyer on a buy it now (I haven't sent them the item) without them seeing my address. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have tried to contact paypal/ebay and have had no luck.

The history to this is I had an item on buy it now and a potential buyer sent me several messages trying to do a deal, I said no each time and in the end said I wouldn't sell it to them and and blocked the buyer.

They have now bought the item anyway using a different ebay id. I can tell this as the paypal email address is the same as the original potential buyer's id!

I am convinced they will leave dodgy f/back just to annoy me (they could have chosen a number of other identical items on a b-i-n)and can see that these ids have done schill bidding. The problem is they are quite local to me so I don;t want them to know my address.

Anyone know whether it is possible to prevent them seeing my address and if I refund can they still give me -ve feedback anyway?

I think they can give you negative feedback even if you refund them. Not sure about whether they can see your address though.

Thanks for this. I finally got some advice from ebay who said refund and raise a dispute immediately after. To be honest am past caring about the feedback as it's all explainable and my feedback is 100% anyway.
It's email address I don;t want him to have as it's my full name.

emorcas - I used to use my work e-mail address for eBay. A couple of years ago I set up a couple of gmail accounts. I now use one of these (with my real name in it) for personal stuff like Banking, internet shopping etc. The other one is basically my eBay account name and I use that for eBay and any other places where I don't want my proper name known.
