i put some itesm on feebay to pay for soemthing iwanted for new baby. i have had non-paying bidders for half the items, which would've paid for what i wanted to get. but now i've had to pass on the teim i wanted to get as cant pay for it :(

i hate the way ebay favours the buyers all the time. i cant do anything apart from give a strike against them. i cant leave negative feedback stating they have refused to pay as 'no longer need the item' or failed to contact me about it.

instead i am having to relist and hope it sells again.

its a PITA and why why why do i use it?

I have ust had a non-payer experience and another 2 possibly in the pipeline.

It is very frustrating and a sheer waste of time. Why bid if you don't intend to pay?

I am waiting for 2 payments now where I had almost 20 watchers for 1 item and 8 for another. Hopefully if I re-list the items will sell.

I have been very ,lucky so far to reach a score of 135 with no real problems.

Why have they altered feedback? You can no longer leave negative feedback.

Agree wholeheartedly.

I just wish they would recognise that auctions should be treated the same as buying an item with a Buy It Now price (where you can insist on payment immediately), so if you bid and win you have to pay immediately when you check-out - just like any other online shop really. Either pay right away or change your mind and decline right away and stop wasting time!

And don't forget to block those bidders from your auctions in future.

Have you get any second chance bidders you can offer to instead of having to relist?

I didn't pay (once, only once), she advertised it as a 'mulberry' bag which was later advertised as a 'mulberry style' bag, eBay also told me I was outbid (as eBay told me 4 times) so I left it and then got an invoice the day after asking for money so she could go shopping, she opened a dispute the day after which I didn't respond to as I was unwell. Fark eBay, I just got a telling off and a 'don't do it again'. eBay confuse buyers aswell you know.

Sorry if anyone on here sold the 'mullberry style bag'.

eBay don't seem to want small-fry 'hobby' sellers like me any more - they have pushed everything towards shop-style so more BIN listings etc.

Their rationale is that in a shop buyers can't get negative 'feedback' from the shopkeeper so why should they on eBay??

It's massively crap, really annoys me. I get loads more non-paying bidders these days since they changed the rule.

Now, if I get a bid from someone with a score of less than 10 (or nothing in the last 6 months), I email them to check it's real and that they will pay. No response within ?6hrs or something and I just cancel it.

I require PayPal payment within 3 days, if I haven't had it by 2 days I send a reminder invoice and then a 'real' reminder on Day 3 saying if they don't pay by X O'clock I will report them.

It's shit having to go through it and it has cost me money but at least that way I cut down on the time and hassle waiting to hear from someone and can cut my losses.
