I had my discharge appointment today from the adult ED service. It was horrendous. Husband was there and she basically told him loads of ways he can 'support' me but basically being on my back about my anorexia. And he didn't even know what a balanced meal should look like. Where has he been all this time/all his life? I'm anxious that this is going to cause serious tension between husband and I and that I'll gain weight. In short, while I know this reaction is mad, anorexia is screaming at me right now.

I seem to have found it in me this week to make plans for recovery. I've lost 2.8kg since I wrote this original post and I'm feeling pretty shit. I've made a meal plan and I'm going to enlist my husband's help in following it. I start it properly next Saturday! I am already trying to add things/snacks here and there though.

That sounds like a suitable plan -
working on and implementing your meal plan -
one that is sufficient to ensure no further weight loss and then sufficient to give you a controlled and managed weight restoration to where u were at discharge from ED -
keep that going and review where u are at -
being able to focus and do this consistently will be far more beneficial to you than attending appointments that were not helping to achieve weight restoration to at least a rock bottom of healthy -
best wishes - AN is a tricky fucker x

@GaaNeen thank you. I appreciate the support. I don't think I can think sensibly about any of this until I've gained more weight, I think the brain starvation is a major issue here so I've vowed to just keep going with 3 meals/3 snacks until I get my BMI to 20ish.

Right, brain starvation is dangerous -
AN thrives on it,
I think there is a danger in brain starvation becoming so entrenched it becomes ‘normal’ hard to recall what a functioning brain was like -
so keep that insight about your starvation symptoms in mind - don’t look too far ahead, that can be overwhelming- just a day at a time,
ir whatever works for you with planning and staying on track x
