My elder sister had severe anorexia in the 80s. She was hospitalised at age 18. I am 4 years yound (we have a brother in between us). I have been binge eating on and off since my early 20s (now late 50s) and as far as I am aware no one knows about this - weight doesn't fluctuate much due to (probably excessive exercise). I am now very tired of living like this, but don't really know where to start to change.

Therapy to look at what happened to make you feel like food could be used to fix a problem/was scarce/could be used to punish yourself.

I think CBT is available in the NHS if you’re unable to afford private.
