Do I have an eating disorder?

Hi all... this might sound like a stupid question but I'm caught in limbo. I'm not sure if I fit into this category but I'm stuck...I'm obsessed with my weight and weigh myself 4/5 times a week. If I go over what I'd say if my weigh limit I will skip a few meals to make sure a drop a pound or two to get back to where I was. For my height/weight BMI I'm still at 19/19.5 according to the NHS guidelines but I feel I'm obsessing a bit too much... so I guess what I'm asking is when does it get unhealthy and what do I do?

Yeah that's disordered. Throw out the scale, those numbers don't mean anything. Focus on the nutrients your body needs, and fuel it as often as you need to. If you can't do that you need to talk to a doctor about it.

You're the same BMI as me. I will also skip meals to stay roughly around the same area, but it tends to be if I know I've eaten a lot lately and my clothes are getting tight. I just don't want to go up a dress size because then none of my clothes will fit.

I think the difference is that I'm not obsessed with my weight.

Is there any way you could stop weighing yourself? It's not really all that accurate because your weight can fluctuate within the month and the day. I'd be really worried that you were getting overly concerned about completely normal fluctuations around your cycle (assuming you have one).

Are you quite rigid with your diet or are you mostly eating what you fancy?
