I work in a small team (around 8 of us) and we are all very close. Mixed sex and mixed ages from 20's to 60's.
One of our colleagues in our team has recently become very open about being anorexic. It is something we have all been aware of for a while but previous we skirted around it as she did not talk about it and could be defensive.
Since a recent health scare for her, she has now begun to open up to us about her health, her fears and just generally her eating disorder.
We've been trawling the web for advice on how to support someone with anorexia as we all want to be there for her in whatever way she needs.
She knows we feel this way but she's still cautious about accepting help.
Does anyone have any advice of what worked / didn't work for you in this position?
We don't want to overstep the mark or upset her as it's such a massive step forward for her to even say she's anorexic, we don't want to rock the boat in any way, just want to give her the best back up we can.
