My son is restricting what he eats . He’s only eating half a meal .
He’s stopped making his own food - teenager -age 17. I make him a sandwich and he will eat half of it .
When we eat out he’s always always order the biggest pudding on the menu since he was little - now he’s stopped that .
He told my mum - his grandma he’s got a step counter on his phone and he did 4000 steps yesterday . Exercise has never ever figured on my sons things to do .
I have told him I’m worried that he’s not eating enough - in a calm manner - his answer - I’m good.
We always sit down as a family every night . I’ve been making his favourites - again only eating half.
I believe his developed an issue with food - I’ve begun to read up on supporting him and I thinking /building up to mentioning GP support .
I’m look for support and help from any other mums/carers in a similar situation . Ty 🙏🏻

Have you tried contacting Beat? Please have a look at their website - it's really comprehensive around supporting someone and you can call their helpline or contact via webchat. GP is a great next step and beat has a lot of info around how to approach this. Good luck.
