Unhealthy food relationship

I'm a mum of three, and always struggled with eating properly. My youngest is just coming up to 1, and he's still breastfed. I have lost so much weight, I don't want to give up breastfeeding.
But my relationship with food really isn't good, I don't know how to fix it, sometimes I can eat loads and then other days I'll eat a few biscuits and that's it. I'm about 8 stone and 5ft 6 so it's not that it's anything bad but I look so horrible for it, I'd be happier if I was at about 9-10stone.
I have no idea what to do, I don't eat any veg, can't stomach the smell of any fish, and don't eat lamb.
If anyone has any tips it would be most welcomed, Thankyou.

I think in order for anyone to offer advice, we'd need to know more about WHY some days you can eat loads (do you mean loads, or just 'normal'?) and other days just a few biscuits. Do you not feel hungry? Is it a control thing? Do you feel physically unwell?

rebecca181622 · 13/12/2019 11:11

Yes feel very unwell in myself, weak an dizzy, sometimes have stomach cramps and feel sick.
Some days could have breakfast dinner and tea and maybe even snacks and others I won't feel hungry and just have a few biscuits.

Have you been to see your GP? I think that would be a good start OP.

TheOrigFV45 · 13/12/2019 11:18

Do you think it's a physical issue or more a mental one? Posting on the ED board indicates it's a MH issue, but you haven't really said anything to indicate that. As rebecca says, seeing your GP would be a good start.

rebecca181622 · 13/12/2019 11:52

Yes I've been to see the GP and they haven't helped apart from saying to have milkshakes to put some weight on. I don't know if it's a MH issue as I've never had anything wrong before.

Did you try the milkshakes? Maybe go back and ask for some blood tests to find out whether you are feeling unwell because you are not eating well, or whether you're not eating well because of an underlying reason.

rebecca181622 · 13/12/2019 14:52

Yes tried the milkshakes and I'm still losing weight, and I had a bloody test and it came back ok no action needed.

Maybe the good step would be to see a dietician. It is hard to advice with the little information we have here.

@TheOrigFV45

How you doing? Found myself thinking about you and wondering if Things on the up?
