high and low of the day

Was wondering if this could be a place to share the defeats and little triumphs of our days, but with the proviso each low must have a high and vice versa, for the sake of balance. It helps me sometimes, and I need somewhere to share these things.

High: Was just out for a walk along a cliff path. I can't normally do this, as I've been advised to avoid taking DCs alongside cliffs. Sad But I had an hour or so to myself, on our holidays, so took myself off. The weather and views were glorious.

LOW: On the way back I saw a teenage boy running (yes running) back with two huge bags of takeaway from the choppy, presumably from the chippy. I wanted to shout a cheeky 'whatever they're paying you isn't enough' as he went past but it caught in my throat. That will never be my child, they're not going to be able to do that as teenagers.
