In the 1960s in Swansea there was a dock where Sainsburys is now and two ships used to dock there regularly. DSis and I used to try and guess which would be in the dock as we passed it and were trying to remember what the ships were called.
Can anyone help? Please 🙏

If you are on Facebook the Swansea History Group would know.

I've asked my MIL. She can't remember the names, but said they were naval ships and one began with A?

Thank you for trying @Alwaystired23.
I think they both started with Glen something, but I really can’t remember.

it’s so annoying. The names have been on the tip of my tongue for days.

Might be worth popping into the waterfront museum. They might know

I wonder if one was the Glen Hafod? There’s a picture of it in the North Dock at that link, which is the dock where Sainsbury's is now. It doesn’t sound familiar, but it was so long ago - it could be.
