Any ideas for interim solutions to the traffic problems

The local Councils will surely have to work something out, if it is going to be months. What about all the times each year the other bridge gets closed?
What about pedestrians ? What if there is a medical emergency ? (Though I suppose having the helicopters there might help with that).

Why is it closed?

Structural problems found.

It is taking about an hour and a half to get off the Island at times.

Staff are taking about 2 hours to get into work at the hospital and they don't seem to be doing anything
