Welsh Olympians to cheer on?

I am one of those lazy sports viewers who only knows what's happening in the big televised events

Last Olympics I was busy with work summer from hell so I am particularly out of the loop on Olympics sports. Who are some nice Welsh competitors at Tokyo please?

Is Jade Jones in the Taekwondo again or had she retired? I spent a lot of the 2016 Olympics coverage shouting "Kick her head in Jade!" Which I'm not sure is the point of the sport

Yes jade is competing in this Olympics . If she gets gold again she'll be the first woman to win 3 consecutive golds.

There's 26 apparently (Meet the Welsh athletes competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/wales/57821567)! I'll be watching Geraint Thomas, Elinor Barker & Ethan Vernon in the cycling, Leah Wilkinson, Sarah Jones, Rupert Shipperley & Jacob Draper in the hockey in particular. And Jade Jones of course. I adore watching nearly all sports & love the Olympics.

I feel really sorry for Jade - have been wondering all year which teams and players might be worse affected by pandemic experience. She sounds lovely. What a shame

Yeah, so sorry for Jade and Geraint. Hope it's not the last time we see them at the Olympic games, but age is certainly against G.

Watching the GB women's hockey and Sarah Jones is playing fantastically well again.

A little lunchtime watching: Lauren Williams into the -67kg Taekwondo final at 13:30 today - guaranteed Welsh medal!
