I was in porthcawl last week which was amazing. Now I'm back on the office I'm less happy.

So here's a question. I'm Welsh, living in exile in England.
We're thinking of downsizing now that our kids have left home.
DH has suggested Llantwit Major.
I know nothing about the place but he says it's nice - based on a few business trips to the area years ago.
What's it like? Would we find a 3 bed house with decent garden, not on new estate, for less than £350k??

@MrsFin omg I used to live there! Family still does. It's absolutely lovely and the beach is right on your doorstep. Houses are pretty cheap there
So I'm certain you'll find what you're looking for. If you've got kids they've recently done up one of the primary's as a superschool which is brilliant by all accounts. The comp used to be terrible but is much better now. The town could use a freshen up but there's a couple of new boutiques that have opened. Spoilt for choices with pubs and there's a few good restaurants. Happy to help if you have any questions

Lovely, enjoy! If you go for lunch I recommend either the old swan inn for a pub or the cwtch for a restaurant.
