Hello!
After three failed IVF rounds with OE we have a consultation booked with London Women’s Clinic for Donor Eggs….. is anyone else starting Donor Eggs with LEB?

Hi @JoyousBee can you provide any further info re your comment, thanks

-As an “old” patient, gradually, some of the doctor/embryologist’s atitude would make you feel like you own them a million. (the major reason)

-try every way to charge you more, although some amount might be trival for their walthy clients. e.g. in the package it said three months free embryo storage. but when you finally ready it was the 5th month stored then they charged you from the first month of storage.

And they always “forgot” that you don’t have embryo or eggs left in their storage but your bank account still being charged monthly. It was tremendous difficulty to communicate with them to try to get that hundred quids back, EVERY TIME, and in my last case when I was about to moved on out of that clinic, i was completely ignored. Given the exhaustion from the treatment and life, I didn’t have energy to argue with them anymore and let go

⁃ be aware that in their “package”, some basic tests and scan you thought should be essecial and included for the treatment are not, and’ll have to pay them seperately. I realised that was unreasonable after I moved on to another clinic.

I’m with LWC and just chose our donor through LEB. I was with LWC for 3 OE IVF rounds before moving to the Evewell for a further two. I’m now back with LWC for donor conception. I felt like I had a better experience with them, hence returning. I found LWC had a lot less add ons compared to the Evewell, and I felt the LWC staff cared a lot more.

Hi @Lozzy000 thanks for your reply, and that’s great that you’ve found a donor you like ☺️ have you gone with 6 or 12 eggs?
It’s not an easy decision to make and hasn’t been done lightly, but after five years of TTC, 3 failed IVF, we are ready to try DE and hopefully be able to be excited again at the hope of being parents x

@NewHope86 Hey OP I have stumbled across your story and wondered how it's going? I've found it difficult to find reviews of this clinic from the donor recipient side. Wishing you success x

Isittime1984 · 15/10/2025 23:31

Hey OP, I am also in the process of potentially starting out with LWC. Would be really interested in finding out how the process has been, and what package you went with. 🙏

Hi, I used LEB so just want to add my experience. Overall, it was very good and I recommend them highly. Much better and with better patient care than a previous private clinic I used.

I purchased 10 eggs, got 11, and ended up with 4 embryos. The first three transfers failed, and I'm 20 weeks pregnant with the last (and "worst") embryo.

I had been hoping 10 eggs would give the chance of a sibling as they suggest on the website. However, my donor has just donated again, so it is a positive sign that LEB has returning donors.

I felt very supported throughout the process, and they went above and beyond to address concerns.

My only disappointment was that they don't recommend additional investigations into implantation until you have two failures, because there isn't a reason, statistically. There was no clinical reason for me to have those investigations because my own eggs implanted, and I personally wasn't worried. In future, I would always do the implantation clinic before transferring any precious embryos. Once I went through their implantation clinic, I had one more failure before my pregnancy. Of course, the three failures may have just been bad luck!

Thanks for sharing. I will be purchasing 10 for just one birth (I don't believe their website when they say six will do!)
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope you are able to get the same donor next time x

Hey. You mentioned that your donor donated again - were you notified of this? Or how did you find out?

Hi All, we are in the early stages of DE with LEB, had consultation, Aquascan, will be doing bloods etc soon! At the moment we can't decide if to do fresh or frozen, we want to do pgt-a due to our history. They are heading us to fresh as less risks etc but then we have alot less choice than if we go frozen. Hope everyone is doing okay 😊

Hi. I found the additional eggs from my donor listed online completely by accident; I was thinking about siblings, so logged in on a whim. I have since found out from the clinic that my donor did not donate again. The additional 6 eggs listed online were from the original donation, and they did not have an explanation for why they weren't available 2 years earlier. Strange to say the least!

They have, however, put a note on their system so that I will be notified if she does donate again.
