Donor conceived embryos at risk of being discarded… anyone been in same situation?

Hi all as title says really, I have 5 embryos left after conceiving my son 9 years ago. He has autism and as a single mum I needed to wait for my son to be more independent and we’re not at that stage yet. I’ve had the clinic notify me that if my embryos are not used by 5/2/26 then they cannot be used as donor has only consented for 10 years unless donor agrees to extend or A doctor can demonstrate premature infertility or the risk of premature infertility for myself which I had no fertility issues I just chose to do ivf via donor sperm to be a SMBC.
anyone have any advice or been in the same situation.

This is really common, the consent lasts for 10 years unless either exception applies so it is up to you to decide whether to seek to renew consent from the donor or proceed before the date
