Apricity Fertility shutting down?!

Is anyone else impacted by the news this afternoon that Apricity Fertility is ceasing to operate from 1 January. We were recently matched with a wonderful donor and she was due to start her treatment in January. We’ve also paid substantial fees up front. No idea what will happen now. Devastated.

I’m so sorry to hear. We are also patients there and we were expecting to start our next treatment at the end of the month. It was quite a shock. We are wondering what happens next too. 💐

There is a statement about it now on the HFEA website (in the news section).

I’ve been using them for a few years now - have had nothing but issues but had already paid so have been staying with them. They didn’t even notify me about this. I found out when I wrote my coordinator for an update re my donor and received back an auto generated note that they had ceased all operations! I’m livid-besides the fact that I wasted years with them - they still have my money. They have not yet responded to my emails but I’m prepared to take action. They had no plan for outreach with their current patients. It honestly makes me sick. Already we are in such vulnerable states as it is.

There are saying everyone will either get a refund or be able to continue with treatment - there’s a statement on their website

I saw. Unfortunately they still have not responded back to my multiple emails. Curious to hear other peoples experience / if they are getting responses back.

Sorry to hear of your experiences too. I haven’t had any response from them and not feeling very reassured by the standard message on the website. It’s the uncertainty of it all and lack of precise info that is so disconcerting at this stage, given they’re shutting on 1st Jan.

I’ve been hoping to find a group of people to discuss this with. I’m so disappointed. I learnt about Apricity ceasing business through Instagram! I never got the email they said they sent to everyone. I was due to have my transfer in February. Now I’ve no idea what’s happening or who to speak to. They gave the enquiries email and told me they were working hard to get back to everyone but does that email still even work since the 1st of Jan? :( Considering how much I thought of them, they could not be worse now. I just feel utterly devastated for women in worse situations than me in their treatment cycle and the poor amazing staff at Apricity who lost their jobs right before Christmas

Completely agree, it’s awful. Really sorry to hear about your situation. As far as I know they still have some staff dealing with the enquiries beyond 1st Jan. Personally, I’m still waiting on a precise update in relation to my own case and no idea when I’ll hear more.

I do hope so. It’s absolutely awful how we’re all being treated. They know how tough fertility is!

It really is! Of all people they know how stressful fertility is. It’s just horrible. I’m so disappointed by them 😔

Has anyone heard back? I am still waiting for an update despite chasing multiple times. Beyond upsetting.
