Donor Looking for advice on which bank to donate to

TLDR I want to become a sperm donor, what is the organisation to donate to? so far I am between London Sperm bank and Cryos.

Hi,
I have made the decision to donate my sperm (I have been thinking about the personal implications for a year and 4 months), but I have hit a bit of a speed bump as to where?
I am looking for advice/experience with different banks.
My first concern is what bank screenes and tests me as a donor the most, as I want to be absoltuely certain I am in actual fact a suitable donor, second to that what banks are transparent with all that information for people lookign for donors?
Secondly is geography, I am southwest (UK) and having to make regular donations throughout the year does tie me in geographically, especially as I am locked into where I live during a work week.

So far I have narrowed it down to London Sperm bank, This is the closest reputable bank I have so far discovered. The second is Cryos International, from what I have seen so far they have a good screening process, unfortunately their donation centre is in Manchester, which is possibly a bit too far.

Thankyou in advance for your advice

You're doing a very kind and good thing. I would just stuck with what you can practically do, which sounds like the london bank.

As someone who has used the London Sperm Bank I was certainly happy with the information provided, found them professional, and so forth. It sounds as though it's much the more practical option for you, too, and as a PP says, it's important to do what's practical for you.

Thank you for considering becoming a donor. My donor-conceived child is an absolute delight, and I feel very grateful to the donors who made it possible for him to be.

Thankyou for the messages, its great to hear about the good it can do, in my personal circles I have gotten alot of cristiscm. Which was useful as there were aspects they had raised which I hadnt considered before, but the immediate good of helpign others got lost in all that critique.

Our son is with us care of a donor. He is our greatest joy, and I have boundless thanks to the kindness of strangers like you.
