Recommended books on different ways families are made?

Our two DC are donor conceived and we’re starting to introduce the idea that there are a variety of ways families are made (e.g. donor conception, adoption etc), as well as the fact that families come in all shapes.

Can anyone recommend any good children’s books around the subject?

We already have ‘You were meant for me’ by Sheri Sturniolo which we read often and gently introduces the idea of donor conception.

The Donor Conception Network has books you can buy related to your family situation, I’ve found them good.

The Great Big Book of Families by Mary Hoffman and Ros Asquith is a book dealing with different families generally, we were actually given it as a Christmas gift, I don’t think donor conception is mentioned but for the notion that families can be one parent, two mums, living with grandparents etc it’s good.

I’m going to have a look at the one you mentioned. I’ve also been working on creating my own book for our family, it’s not very fancy but it has photos of us and I think DC will like it.
