How many vials of sperm?

My wife and I are at the stage of deciding between IVF vs IUI.

swaying towards IVF - how many vials of sperm did you order/would you order for IVF? We both want to be pregnant at some point, with the same donor but my wife will carry first.

Average AMH levels with no known problems for my wife (confirmed with scan)

Average AMH levels for myself but have PCOS and it has been suggested it may be less straightforward for me.

clinic just says ‘1 vial per round’ but should we order more than we need now, to avoid the risk of the donor being unavailable in the future? If so, how many vials would you buy?

@Emm1994 Many sperm banks have a buy back vial policy, as long as the vials don't leave the bank. So you could buy 6 but only ship 1 per round. If you are both successful first time then you sell back the other 4 vials.

I did this, it was on the advice of the fertility clinic I was using.
I ended up using 5 of the 6. I also did it this way as I had a self imposed ending. 6 rounds and then stop because I'd have put my body through enough (this was second time around).

I was told a vial could be used for thousands of eggs. But only once. Ie was opened it "goes off", so you need to have all your eggs ready.
I bought two vials, but I had a lot of eggs ready and waiting.
Try using a donor who seems to have a lot left - then if your partner gets pregnant you can stock up on more so sibling is full sibling (which was important to me too).
