Hi everyone,

we’ve been going through the process of tests, since November! Now everything is back and we hopefully can try our first attempt at egg retrieval next month. Looking for support / shared experiences. It seems real now.

My AMH was 9.3 in December. We're due to start ivf shared motherhood where my partner will carry. (I'm 34, she's 42).

I was told my count is low for my age but my partners was lower so hoping younger eggs go in our favour.

Just out of curiosity, if people are comfortable sharing. For IVF, what was your AMH and how many eggs were retrieved / successful embryos? (Age would help)

any other comments / advice welcome

I appreciate every journey is different. Thanks in advance 💕

@Marylou88 oh wow you done all the tests now and going to the egg retrieval stage, very exciting. I did the egg retrieval and you go into the theatre and they put anaesthetic and the doctors do what they have to do. Regarding AMH, some clinics use this, some clinic use other tests. I think my clinic used another test. I follow people on youtube who do this donor conception thing also and some had low AMH and were in their 50s but still were successful with trying to conceive. I think it's all luck really, no matter what your AMH is.

Sending lots of baby dust and prayers for your wish to have a baby @Marylou88

Thank you so much @mommynette yes! I’m starting to get nervous now it is getting real. Have to remind ourselves there is a lot out of our control and trust the process.

Plus my partner is doing the carrying so she will have the hardest job!
