Any advice on clinics? Looking at using donor eggs for 4th round

Hi all, so long story short we went through IVF and FET about 2 years ago now, one early miscarriage and 2 failed. Now I have a very low AMH was 2.5 pmol but other than that all ok. Never fell pregnant on our own (or ones that did end in early loss)

When we have our last FET the Dr said that we should think about using donor eggs given we have been trying for a total of 15 years and I am now 41

Now I would like to know if they still feel like this is the best option for me, but the clinic I went with last time doesn't seem to be very open on pricing etc until you pay for another consultation, but I feel that they know our history so would be the best bet.

We are in the south-east so looked at London and local and even abroad, has anyone been down this route before?

I would like to use a clinic that can provide the full cycle, but also cost is a factor given this will probably be our last shot as will probably need to take out a loan for this. I am not sure if we would need to do all the tests again etc, I expect we would but from what I've read I've seen packages say for 7k but I don't believe that or the medication is included I.e with access fertility.

Part of me feels hopeful, but then the other part feels that it might still be my body that's the issue.

If anyone has any advice please let me know that you.

Hi @MrsLouB I did with London Women's Clinic which is affiliated with the London egg bank, can't recommend them enough they were brilliant! The pricing is on the website and you can access all the donor profiles easily on the LEB website. My DD is the best thing that ever happen to me. Good luck to you x

Hi @Fizzibility thanks so much for sharing, I did take a look at them the only issue I have is the additional costs for tests and medication which is an unknown cost in them all. But that's great to know thank you

The meds weren't massively expensive mainly ultrogestan and we opted out of testings as our donor was young and the clinic had screened her for major illnesses. We felt as confident as we could've been.

@Fizzibility when I say testing I mean I assume I need new blood tests and scans to check levels etc and my husband semen analysis I think they ask for these too. Our last results are from 2919 and I only have AMH and SA results on file too.

Ah yeah I see what you mean. These tests are extra I believe £500 for the couple.

OP I’m really sorry to hear of all you have been through. It’s so exhausting.

I had my first and so far only dc via egg donation in Czech Republic. Happy to discuss - PM me. Also check out donor conception network events online where you can speak to other thinkers, tryers and donor created families.
