Hello All,

I am looking to get Donor Egg IVF done in Spain. We have narrowed it down to 3 clinics (recommendations from friends and doctors). Which ones would you recommend for Donor Eggs IVF?

  1. Institute Ceram in Marbella
  2. Embriogyn: embriogyn.com/
  3. Clinica Tambre in Madrid: clinicatambre.co.uk/

Does anybody have any experience in any of the 3 clinics above that they can share (good or bad are both welcome!)

Thanks for your help!

@Raasgul In the online donor community, I have been understanding the institute clinics seem to be the popular ones. Hopefully someone can discuss more on these clinics as I know a bit about them but no so much.

I am looking at Donor egg IVF

In the online donor community, I know travelling abroad to get it done is the popular option when it comes to donor egg IVF. There are so many clinics out there, you just have to choose the best for you. Attend/zoom video call different consultations and see how it goes.

Just wondering how all of you did after your treatment at Tambre CentaurChiron and Nessylink? X

Nessylink · 05/08/2022 23:31

@ArtyCubbles I've been remiss in reporting back, so thanks for calling me out on that. I do want to share in case it helps someone else.

We did really like Tambre, I would recommend them from my experience of the initial tests. But we also really liked IVF Spain Madrid. We had a very hard time choosing between the two, but IVF Spain won because we "clicked" a bit more with our coordinator and they also had a very good multi-cycle package. We felt Tambre was a bit more money/business oriented than IVF Spain, but that could have been our interpretation. I do have to say Tambre staff went above and beyond and booked me into a mammogram at a nearby Madrid clinic when I had a hard time getting my GP to refer me.

We are very happy with our choice of IVF Spain Madrid so far: We had 2 very good banking cycles (we have 10 frosties now) - and are doing a 3rd final one in September before getting back PGT-A tests on all of them (I know we sound greedy to want more, but we only had 1 normal in 7 and that one didn't survive the thaw for FET so we want more tries this time -- and its cheaper to do the 3rd cycle now than to decide to do another in a year, plus I'd be older yet again... ).

Again, from what I saw I think Tambre and IVF Spain Madrid were both good clinics, but my experience with Tambre is limited.

Hi @ArtyCubbles happy to share my experience with Clinica Tambre.

Overall I think the treatment we have received has been good. We did two cycles with them yielding a good number of good quality genetically tested and transferable embryos. We haven't transfered any yet though, so I can't speak to that side of things yet.

However, the admin side of things I found to be quite stressful on occasion. It can be quite stressful anyway doing IVF abroad, but there were a couple of times this was amplified due delays in communication. For instance, there were a couple of occasions where I emailed the patient team with my monitoring scan results in the morning and it took until the evening to hear back from them, by which time I was panicking because I needed to know what dose of medication I should take. It took chasing them repeatly before someone finally told me that they were still with the doctor to be reviewed and providing me with reassurance that they would come back to me by the end of the day. The other thing I'd say is that I've had to go through everything they've billed us for meticulously as it can be a bit all over the place. I'm sure this isn't intentional, but I do feel they should be much more on top of this.

I've really had no issues with the treatment itself though, it's been much more the admin side of things that's been a bit difficult at times. The doctors, nurse's and embryologists were all lovely and I was very well looked after for my procedures.

I hope that helps, but very happy to answer any further questions you may have.

Not sure of the name. But world renowned one in Barcelona

Eiremogra · 06/08/2022 09:13

@Fabsco thank you so much for your advice. Your words are so reassuring and just what I needed to hear! We have our first counselling session booked for next week…it’s supposed to be implications counselling but honestly I’m hoping it will help us decide what route to take. I have recently had my AMH levels rechecked and my levels have increased (although still very low)….now I’m in a muddle what to do! One last shot at IVF or stop all this stalling and just commit to DE?!! Gah!!!

ArtyCubbles · 06/08/2022 15:56

Thank you so much for the invaluable information, it really helps so much getting this feed back! Nessylink and CentaurChivon I am really hoping that you both have wonderful successes! Keep us posted xx

Hello,

Hoping you are still on this forum. We are considering using Tambre for egg donation but are finding very few reviews on them. Would you mind sharing a bit more about your experience?
