Just starting fertility journey...any advice?!

So my wife and I are just starting to explore our options. IUI vs IVF with donor sperm. Shared motherhood/who should carry etc.

Our biggest problem at the moment is deciding which clinic to go with.

We’re based in Kent so can go relatively anywhere in the SE or London. We’ve visited Care in T Wells, London Women’s Clinic (in Canterbury and London) and Create (in London). We didn’t like Create, we loved Care but the success rates at LWC are better (and it’s slightly cheaper).

I’m a month off 37 and my BMI is higher than I would like (as is my wife’s but she is 35) so I’m a little concerned but I guess we’ll have the tests and go from there!

Has anyone had any experience of Care or LWC and/or advice about shared motherhood IVF? Thank you!

I can't answer your questions directly, but would really recommend having a look at the Donor Conception Network website. They also do a preparation workshop for Lesbian Couples which could go through all those questions for you as well as put you in touch with other couples and groups who could talk to you about their experiences.
