TTC 1st baby - recommendation on clinics please! :)

Hey,

My partner and I are looking to start IUI. I have been doing some research and understand we will need to pay for our treatment, as we will not be able to get this on the NHS. (This is the 1st time we are TTC (trying to conceive))

After some research, I have noticed that Edinburgh Fertility and Reproductive Endocrine Centre (EFREC) offer IUI for £50, yet clinics in Glasgow can charge £1000+.

Why is EFREC so cheap compared to to others?

Basically, I want to know; has anyone used EFREC before? If so would you recommend them for IUI or is it better to pay £1000+ in Glasgow?

Honestly, any help or support is very much appreciated.

What are these clinics including in the cost? I would generally expect to pay £1k ish for IUI including the sperm.

Sorry for the late reply!

Some of the clinics I have researched, do not mention the inclusion of sperm. I believe this is an added cost. I contacted one of the hospitals here in Glasgow, and believe we might be entitled to some NHS funding - which is amazing news!

We just need to get a referral from the GP and find out if we meet the criteria.
