Egg donation Cube Clinic in Prague

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of DE at Cube clinic in Prague? We are about to start but beginning to get slightly cold feet..I thought I would be sent a profile of the donor before starting (as most other clinics appear to routinely do) but we will only be given the details once we fly over there to actually fertilise the egg. Is this normal? I'm concerned that there may be something that we don't like. I'm not very difficult to match - average height, weight etc - but it is important that they have the same physical characteristics as me and skin colouring. Am I being unreasonable?

Your paying for the sperm you should be able to choose the characteristics definitely. I was given a whole list to choose from!

I used a donor egg but it was my wife's and then we had donor sperm which we chose out of a long list.

I'm now 2 months pregnant on our first try of ICSI (IVF)

@ChrisL39 - hello, I just came across your post and wondered how you got on?

I had a colleague who used the Cube for DE and was very pleased with the result - they came across it via a friend.

I have just had to abandon another OE cycle in the UK and am looking into the Cube for DE. Did you go with them in the end? were you happy? hope it all worked out for you.

Hi InvisableMe - I've just got back from Cube where I had 2 eggs put back - fingers crossed 1 of them takes. They were all very professional and friendly there.
Prague was also beautiful so I highly recommend doing it out there be it at Cube or elsewhere - just be aware that you get VERY limited information about the donor - this is something that I have really struggled with.

@ChrisL39 - many thanks for the reply. Everything crossed that it works out for you xox glad you felt you were in good hands. I imagine it is really difficult knowing so little about the donor - I see they offer very basic info such as height, weight, eye and hair colour. Hopefully it will be all worth it in the end.

I am waiting for a reply to my initial query. My OE cycle was abandoned on Friday - it makes sense to try now with DE's. I chose the Cube because of my colleague and also because it is so close to the airport and there is a direct flight from where I am.

Can I ask whether you had any further tests whilst there. My eggs are rubbish but my husband's sperm isn't brilliant either. I'm looking into further tests to help with fertilisation and implantation.
