Egg donation in Russia - Next Generation Clinic

Hello!
Just wondering if anyone else has been and would like to compare notes? I cycled there earlier this month with a non-anonymous donor from their egg bank and seem to have my first ever positive test! Tentatively excited - it's still early days so trying to keep calm while not telling anyone in real life. Anyone want to chat to so I don't burst with excitement before the 6-week scan? :-)

Hello!
After a couple of rounds of IVF we decided to get an embryo transfer at Next Generation Clinic, Saint Petersburg. We chose to go to Russia firstly because we were keen to pick the donors ourselves based on photos personal profile and personal statement. Secondly when I started looking into iVF I was single. After a fair bit of research I found that Russia is one of the few countries that offer both these things.

In the end we settled on NGC because they were quick to respond to our numerous questions, their facilities looked impressive and they were reasonably priced.

We travelled to Saint Petersburg in August 2017 and we now have a beautiful healthy baby Girl who is asleep on my lap as I write this. We found the facilities at NGC to be beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Most importantly though they gave us our little girl. It would be difficult to exaggerate how happy (though tired) I am right now.

How is it going for you?!

Congratulations on your happy news, CorylusB!

The amount of information available about the donors was a deciding factor for me too. That and the non-anonymous egg donationation program. I had previously tried unsuccessfully with donor eggs in the UK and found the lack of information about the donor a little unnerving.

Unfortunately I’ve had a chemical and a negative so far but there are still frozen embryos left so hopefully there is still a chance.

All the best to you and your new daughter. Hope you manage to get some sleep!

That’s a good result! I don’t know about the surrogacy program but wish you good luck. You have good odds with so many embryos!

It was third time lucky for me with my latest embryo transfer and I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of a little half-Russian in the summer!

Hi ladies, for those who have used the Next Generation Clinic in St Petersburg before, would you mind having a chat about your experience with donor egg programmes? I'm looking at two other clinics in SP and think their price is much more affordable in comparison, although I've read some mixed reviews about their service so slightly apprehensive atm. Thank you so much! @Makeroomforthemushrooms @CorylusB

@bbzdl1
Hello! We are also looking at Next Generation Clinic - did you get any other information or feedback? Which clinic did you end up using?Would love to hear from you! Thank you so much!

Hi @AnnaInTheSun, I chose Ava Peter in St Petersburg at the end, we went in February this year. Once we were there the customer care was excellent, Dr Diana was very caring and saw us many times for scansbefore my egg retrieval. Prior to our travel, I did feel that the communication wasnt great - I had to ask lots of questions myself. I had the best ivf result (with a viable embryo) comparing to the two failed rounds in the UK. Our donor was stimulated and produced many quality embryos as well. Let me know if you have any specific queries or want to find out more.

Hi @AnnaInTheSun
Did you end up going to Next Generation Clinic? What was your experience if so?
@bbzdl1 We have 4 embryos currently frozen at the AVA Peter Clinic - and I would love to go there as a friend recommended it. However, AVA Peter's lab are saying they can't PGS test our 'Day 6' embryos without them turning into 'Day 7' embryos (which you can't transfer apparently). Next Generation are saying they can PGS test our 'Day 6' embryos no problem, they refreeze them again the same day. Which is all fine, apart from I know NOTHING about Next Generation clinic which feels a little scary. There was a negative review on the 'Egg Donation Friends' website which bothers me. Anyone got anything to say about Next Generation please?

Hello, it sounds like Dr Diana who treats the international patients is based at both NGC and Ava. If you do go with NGC, I’d recommend you insist on Diana for the transfer. She’s very good. I had a positive experience with the clinic and felt the treatment was well managed with good communications so I’d recommend it. Best of luck with your treatment.
