Hi,

Me and my partner have been together for 2 years and we really want to start a family, we are looking for a sperm donor for home insemination. We are both in stable jobs and have our own home.

Can someone please help on where to go and the best advice. I have looked into this and feel it’s the best thing for us both.

Thanks
Rachel

You have a few options, basically. You could work with a fertility clinic to have IUI (or IVF, if it turns out that would be your best option). You could order frozen donor sperm from Cryos for home insemination. Or, you could come to a private arrangement with someone agreeing to be your donor (but be aware, the legalities of this are a bit muddier). Different people will opt for different options depending on their circumstances, so it's really up to you and your partner what you prefer.

Oh do piss off with your advertising Diana. Biotexcom are as dodgy as hell which is why trolls like you come on here pretending to be genuine posters in order to advertise the clinic. No one in their right mind would touch your clinic with a barge pole.

There is also pride Angel a website with free donors for home insemination

Yeah, I was lumping Pride Angel under private arrangements, really. The only thing with it is, I know people have had bad experiences on there with men looking to do something other than altruistically donate sperm, so I'd definitely suggest ensuring you take your time to ensure anyone you find on there is legit.

We used California Cryobank bank amazing! FYI, any donor being used in the U.K. (not through private arrangement) has to have authority from your doctor, they won’t ship directly to your house without a letter of consent from your clinic. Any questions I’m happy to answer :)

Oh if you fancy CC make sure you select U.K. complaint! Good luck!

Hey Rachel,

I know this is an old post, but just wondering what you decided to do?

We are using a private sperm donor (AI only) whom we found on coparents.co.uk - we paid for a 3 month membership but found our donor in the first couple of weeks, although we did have to sort through the offers as some were not as genuine as they made out and only wanted one thing 🙄

We are 6 months in and have not been successful yet but hopeful 🤞🏼
