Has anyone been down the IUI route?

Any success stories, tips, facts etc?

@pickle162 sounds like I’m in the same boat as you were, gone for my scan today and follicle isn’t quite there Sad going back in 2 days. What happened with you at this point?

@c307 I just kept going back every other day for scans which was a pain in the arse. Eventually had Menopur dose increased so was doing daily instead of every other and the little follie eventually got there :) and here I am 19 weeks pregnant. One of the nurses had said to me (when I was crying cos nothing was going right) she said the cycles that generally seem where everything is going wrong is the ones that work out for the best
Keeping everything crossed for you :)

What’s menopur? At the moment I’ve not taken any meds it’s just natural. Hope it grows a bit by mid week, it’s so hard being told something you don’t want to hear isn’t it. Fingers crossed!

Ah I did low dose medicated so had suprecur injections every day that stopped me ovulating, Menopur injection which helps follicles to grow nice and juicy then pregnyl or gonasi ( had one for one cycle and one for the other) to make me ovulate and then 2 further injections to help boost hcg levels after iui. I really liked doing medicated cycles because didn’t really have to rely of ovulation sticks or anything just when AF arrived booked in for scans (but even that I went on the pill so could time those well enough to book time off work) and injecting to make me ovulate meant could time the iui perfectly too

Looks like an old thread, anyone who got recent IUI here, looking for success story from second IUI, I just got a negative from my first one today.

@Sophronia

Hi everyone Smile Does anyone who has had IUI success know how the due date should be calculated? Does it still go from the last missed period or from the date of the IUI?
The clinic told me to use missed period instead of IUI date (though for me it's only a difference of 1 day but I like being able to say I'm 4 weeks pregnant now instead of 3!)

@c307 I am fresh out of the process, IUI was 2 weeks ago and I only tested positive yesterday Shock so happy to answer Qs about what happens during the process

c307 · 10/03/2022 09:43

Thanks @tigger2022 but this is an old post from 2017, I have had 2 iui babies since then 😅 congratulations on your positive!

@c307 amazing you’ve had 2 IUI babies since your first post. Can I ask how many rounds you ended up having? Congratulations again :)

Hello it's me - treasure in my tummy- I've also got two iui babies now :) my first took two iui attempts ( first attempt was chemical.

For second baby, 3 iuis- first one didn't work, second chemical and third successful.

Good luck on your journey xxx

@OneMoreWish aww that’s amazing! Massive congratulations on your 2 little ones!

You wouldn’t believe it but we had the medication sitting in the fridge ready to go, and we’ve caught in jan cycle. Currently 5w4 days and feeling very anxious after a previous loss but hopeful xxx
